Matilda Water Tanks understands that when it comes to water storage, quality matters, which is why we build systems designed to handle Australia’s toughest conditions, from residential properties to large-scale rural and commercial applications. Our tanks are proudly Australian-made using premium Bluescope steel at 1mm BMT, available in Zinc or Colorbond finishes, and engineered for long-term durability, strength, and reliable performance in demanding environments.
Thick Steel Walls
Matilda water tanks use a minimum 1 mm thick BMT Bluescope steel in Zinc or colourbond. Unlike the standard 0.6 mm used by most other tank manufacturers.
With a rolled foot on the bottom of the wall sheet to prevent the tank from sinking in to the pad over time.
Premium Liners
Microbe Resistant Water Tank Liner ARMA Fresh Liner is certified with AS/NZ4020 ARMA Fresh Liner is 100% BPA free, with absolutely no chemical contaminants. ARMA Fresh Liners have been certified to Australia’s Drinking Water Guidelines and Australian Standards AS2070 and AS/NZ4020.
Superior Trusses
All of Matilda water tanks use 50 mm x 50 mm SHS, hot dipped galvanised. Where there is a join, we use 8 mm plate with M16 bolts. All trusses are welded with the bottom and top cord welded back to the truss foot, Leaving no weak points. No bolted pivot foot joins.
Quality Outlets
Matilda water tanks only use the highest quality metal outlets and overflows fittings with rubber gaskets. No plastic fitting.
Larger Joints
Matilda water tanks have larger joints, with 180 mm overlap and 100 mm spacing between the bolts.
Custom Roof, Hatch & Basket
Matilda water tanks use corrugated roof sheets made from Bluescope steel 0.42 millimetre BMT in Zinc or colourbond Matilda water tanks we still colour match our screws and hatches to give you the best looking tank.
